Welcome to the WWE Extreme Rules 2016 Predictions Game hosted in video form on Youtube and in writing for the first time on Wrestling Gamer. Rules are simple I’ll be going over every single one of my predictions for the WWE Extreme Rules match card and you guys can also leave your predictions in the comment section and whoever gets every match right gets a shout out in the next predictions game video. Each prediction will also be accompanied by a simulation of the match made possible by WWE 2K16.
So let’s begin with the main, quick and to the point WWE Extreme Rules 2016 Predictions Game video where you can leave your predictions.
Dolph Ziggler vs Baron Corbin
Dolph getting the surprise win at payback was just that, a surprise. For a little over a year now it seems the WWE’s been throwing at least 1 a surprise/shocker win on every pay per view just to throw us off and keep things unpredictable it seems. Now that this upset win is out the way I fully expect the WWE to give Baron Corbin his first singles ppv win here and the no dq stipulation should make this match a lot more interesting.
Baron Corbin wins, video incoming.
The New Day vs The Vaudevillians
With the New Day getting closer to becoming the longest reigning WWE tag team champions and with them being the most over team at the moment I feel as if the WWE will have them hold on to the belts till they reach that milestone. On top of that The Vaudevillans got the better of The New Day on RAW and thus they have the momentum going into Extreme Rules which usually doesn’t bode well for the challengers.
New Day win and retain the gold.
Kalisto vs Rusev
Let’s face is Kalisto run as United States champion hasn’t really done much at all for the title and with this recent push and rebirth of dominant Rusev it seems he’s poised to capture the title this Sunday. Oh yes and John Cena returns on memorial day so you know what that means.
Rusev wins the machka.
The Miz vs Cesaro vs Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn, Fatal 4 Way Match for the Intercontinental Championship
Since Miz just won the title and Kevin Owens just lost it, I don’t see KO picking up the win here at all and instead I see the Miz retaining to keep this Miz & Maryse power couple thing going. Regardless of what happens this should be a great match.
The Miz retains.
The Usos vs The Club Texas Tornado Match
This match should be announced on Smackdown tonight. A texas tornado match is basically a tag team tornado match. I’ll go with the club taking this one as they’re the newer team on the WWE scene and so they could use the win more.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson beat the Usos.
Charlotte vs Natalya Submission Match
Even with the stipulations favoring Natalya this just seems like a way to some fans to think there’s no way Charlotte could pick up the win here. At the end of the day I see this as being Charlotte’s first ppv win on her own since turning heel. I see Charlotte keeping the title until Sasha Banks comes back.
Charlotte gets the submission win.
Dean Ambrose vs Chris Jericho Asylum Match
Chris Jericho is now known for coming back just to put people over and losing a lot. Although this return has been slightly different with Y2J picking up some significant wins here and there. Although most people think Ambrose wins this due to him coming up with the match I think otherwise. History has shown that superstars who’ve come up with match ideas tend to lose in those matches. I see Chris picking up the win here in WWE’s surprise win/shocker of the night. This current Jericho run might actually lead to a championship match against Reigns and a win here could definitely help him get there.
Chris Jericho defeats Dean Ambrose in his own match.
Roman Reigns vs Aj Styles Extreme Rules Match
This should be a great match and I’m looking forward to it but as far as the results go I think it’s clear that Roman walks away with the title. Summerslam just screams either Roman Reigns vs a returning Seth Rollins or John Cena for the title. The word going around also is that Aj Styles is dealing with some injuries so putting the belt on him would be a risk. It’s also no secret that the WWE is heavily behind Reigns so I’m going with THE GUY as my pick.
Reigns wins with a spear.
